Clarivate is proud to announce that Bond University, located on Queensland’s Gold Coast, has adopted Alma Specto, Clarivate’s advanced digital collection and exhibition platform, to strengthen the management, discovery, and engagement of its unique digital archives.
As Australia’s first non-profit private university, Bond University has a deep commitment to protecting and celebrating its institutional history while making it more discoverable and accessible to its community. With Alma Specto, the university will enhance how it manages and showcases its growing digital collections, by bringing together modern digital collection workflows with powerful discovery, linked data, and storytelling capabilities.
Alma Specto will enable Bond University to transform its digital archive workflows through:
- Automated digital asset management
- AI-powered cataloguing for improved accuracy and efficiency
- Linked data technology to uncover deeper connections across collections
- Dynamic digital exhibitions that engage the Bond community and beyond
“As Australia’s first non-profit private university, we are both protective and proud of Bond’s history,” said Sarah Jansen, University Librarian. “We chose Alma Specto to make our archives more discoverable and to strengthen community engagement by showcasing the stories of our people, growth, and achievements through digital exhibitions. Alma Specto also streamlines the management of the increasing number of digital assets donated to the archives – helping us ensure our history remains discoverable and accessible to the Bond community-including alumni and future generations of Bondies.”
Bond University is a long-standing and valued member of Clarivate’s library community, working within an integrated ecosystem that includes Alma library management system, Primo, RapidILL, Rapido, and Leganto. The addition of Alma Specto further strengthens this environment-supporting seamless interoperability, streamlined workflows, and supporting cost efficiencies across the library ecosystem.
Bond University joined Alma Specto as an early adopter, contributing insight and partnership during the platform’s early stages. Now, with Alma Specto generally available, Clarivate’s community around the platform continues to grow rapidly as more institutions come together to reimagine digital collection management, discovery, and engagement.
Clarivate is proud to support Bond University as a valued part of its global community – helping the university elevate digital collections and share the stories that define Bond’s people, growth, and achievements.
