GALILEO, Georgia’s virtual library and an initiative of the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, has reaffirmed its commitment to Alma from Clarivate as the library services platform for its University System of Georgia member institutions following a strategic review of its library technology strategy.
The decision reinforces a long-standing partnership supporting library services for 26 institutions across the University System of Georgia. Through Alma, member libraries benefit from a shared platform that enables collaboration, streamlines operations, and supports teaching, learning, and research.
As part of the continued partnership, GALILEO is expanding its use of Clarivate solutions by bringing Rapido to all University System of Georgia member institutions. Rapido will support consortium borrowing and broader resource sharing initiatives, helping connect users with materials across the system and beyond.
Member institutions will be positioned to benefit from continued innovation within Alma, including new AI-powered capabilities designed to support library workflows. Clarivate is introducing agentic AI assistants across areas such as acquisitions, analytics, and metadata workflows, helping libraries reduce repetitive work and enable staff to focus on higher-value activities.
