We are excited to announce that Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar (UTB), Colombia, has adopted Alma Specto, becoming the first institution in Latin America to implement the solution.
UTB has long been a forward-looking institution and an important innovation partner for Clarivate in the region. As the first Alma customer in Colombia and the first RapidILL customer in the country, UTB continues to demonstrate its commitment to adopting solutions that help expand access to knowledge and improve services for its academic community.
With Alma Specto, UTB will be able to increase the visibility and accessibility of its valuable special collections, helping students, researchers, faculty, and the broader community discover and engage with unique cultural and institutional materials in new ways.
The initial project will focus on important visual and audiovisual collections, including UTB’s audiovisual memory archive and the Fototeca Histórica de Cartagena, which documents the cultural and urban heritage of Cartagena. By making these collections more discoverable, UTB is opening new opportunities for research, teaching, learning, and community engagement.
