Consortia members rely on Alma Library Analytics to make informed collection and resource management decisions. Until now, however, reporting on e-resources managed in the Network Zone came with a limitation: while members could access e-resource data, bibliographic information was available only through a restricted set of fields.
When additional bibliographic details were needed, members often had to request custom reports from the central office and wait for the information to be delivered.
This enhancement was driven by feedback from the Consortia Working Group and the Analytics Community of Practice, where members consistently highlighted the need for broader access to Network-managed bibliographic data for reporting and analysis.
With the June release, we’re introducing a highly requested enhancement that gives consortia members direct access to the complete set of bibliographic information for Network-managed e-resources within their own Alma Analytics environment.
What’s New?
A new folder (“Bibliographic Details – Full”) has been added to the E-Inventory subject area under Portfolio Details for Consortia Members.
This folder provides access to the full set of bibliographic fields associated with Network-managed e-resources, enabling richer and more flexible reporting capabilities.
When the IZ-level configuration parameter is enabled, the fields in this folder display information for both local and Network records, providing a more complete view of available resources.
Why It Matters
This enhancement removes a significant limitation for consortia members.
Instead of relying on the central office to generate reports containing full bibliographic data, members can now directly access and analyze the information they need within Alma Analytics.
