Statistics Portal provides a comprehensive overview of measurable details across a variety of Ex Libris services and solutions. There are currently five primary categories of statistics posted in this area of the Ex Libris website, with the data being updated quarterly. Here are some of the key insights from the latest update:
- Alma: Tracking metrics in Alma helps organizations understand service demand, manage data volume, and ensure efficient resource allocation. For example, API calls reported in in Q4 2024 were 412 million, bibliographic records were 3.06 billion, and electronic resources managed were 1.93 billion.
- Community: Monitoring community metrics highlights engagement and collaboration. There were 18,529 Developer Network members, 27,213 Idea Exchange members, and 189,753 staff accounts registered in Alma at the end of 2024.
- Content: Tracking content metrics ensures access to high-quality resources for research and learning. At the start of 2025 there were 89 million book chapters, 511 million open access records, 606 million peer-reviewed items, and over 5.56 billion items represented in the Central Discovery Index (CDI).
- Resource Sharing: Resource sharing statistics provide insights into the efficiency of solutions. There were 1,431 active libraries using resource-sharing solutions at the start of 2025. There were nearly 3.7 million requests across all resource sharing solutions in 2024and the fill rate for digital resources was 97%.
- Student Engagement: Monitoring student engagement metrics highlights the effectiveness of educational tools. In 2024 there were 3.11 million active mobile users and 924 million mobile page views. Course materials managed in Leganto were 36.4 million in 2024.
