The Ex Libris Idea Exchange is where innovation begins. All of our products — from Alma and Primo to Leganto, Rapido, and beyond — are represented on this open platform, giving customers a direct channel to share ideas, suggest improvements, and vote on the features that matter most to them.
It’s more than a feedback tool — it’s a collaborative space that reflects our commitment to openness and transparency in all areas of our activity, where Ex Libris product teams work side-by-side with our user community to turn shared ideas into real product enhancements.
Alma August 2025 release: Alma community success stories
While every product benefits from Idea Exchange, August 2025 was a particularly big month for Alma. In the latest feature release, 18 community-submitted ideas —representing more than 2,500 votes from Alma users worldwide — have been marked as Completed.
These completed ideas touch on a wide range of needs, from workflow refinements to enhanced resource sharing capabilities. Each one started as a community suggestion and is now part of Alma, making a tangible difference in day-to-day library operations.
The momentum continues: more improvements on the way
The momentum for Alma ideas on the platform continues, with a steady flow of community suggestions moving through the development process. From early concept to completed feature, each idea reflects the collective expertise and creativity of Alma users worldwide — ensuring that the product evolves in ways that directly address the needs of the libraries it serves.
Collaboration at the core
Idea Exchange is a reflection of the Ex Libris philosophy: innovation works best when it’s open and collaborative. By engaging directly with the community, we ensure that every product — Alma included — evolves in ways that matter most to the people who use it every day.
The conversation is ongoing, the ideas keep flowing, and together, we’re shaping the future of library technology.
