Esploro research services help capture and showcase research output, raise the visibility of researchers’ profiles, and reduce the administrative burden on researchers
Jerusalem, Israel—July 18, 2019. Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the Ex Libris Esploro™ research services solution is now live at the University of Iowa.
With Esploro, institutions can automatically capture and disseminate their researchers’ output and data, manage research assets from all disciplines in one place for the full range of disciplines (including Natural Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, and the Arts), showcase researcher profiles, and facilitate workflows between the library, the research office, and researchers.
The implementation of Esploro at the University of Iowa is an important milestone for Ex Libris in our endeavor to increase the productivity and impact of research activities.
Esploro helps institutions fulfill strategic research goals and assist researchers in maximizing productivity. Libraries and research offices can automate and simplify processes such as the deposit of research data, enrichment of metadata, updating of researcher profiles, and measuring research impact.
Esploro is built on the Ex Libris higher-ed cloud platform, which also supports the Ex Libris Alma® library management solution, Primo® discovery solution, and Pivot® research funding solution that are already in use at the University of Iowa.
The University of Iowa is one of five development partners that have partnered with Ex Libris, along with ten early adopter institutions, in developing the Esploro solution. Four of these institutions are scheduled to implement the solution in 2019, with many others scheduled to go live in 2020.
Nadav Doron, vice president of Research Information Management Solutions at Ex Libris, commented, “The implementation of Esploro at the University of Iowa is an important milestone for Ex Libris in our endeavor to increase the productivity and impact of research activities. Working with leaders from the University of Iowa library and office of research has been a wonderful experience, and we are thankful for the ongoing collaboration with the Iowa team.”
