The new Connect Partner Program will advance collaboration with third-party solution providers and strengthen support for Ex Libris customers
Jerusalem, Israel—January 3, 2018. Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce the launch of the Ex Libris Connect Partner Program, designed to support a rich ecosystem of third-party solution providers in the development of integrations with Ex Libris solutions.
Ex Libris has long supported open standards and integration with third-party products for Ex Libris solutions. A solution provider interested in joining the new partnership program can sign an agreement with Ex Libris to facilitate the use of Ex Libris APIs for the mutual benefit of that provider’s customer base and the Ex Libris community. A number of partners have already signed a collaboration agreement in advance of the program and benefit from a strong relationship with Ex Libris and a comprehensive integration with Ex Libris solutions. A partner with existing integrations need not enroll in the program unless the partner wishes to extend the functionality of the existing integration.
The success of existing collaborations between Ex Libris and third-party partners is evident in the more than 150 APIs that are available in the Ex Libris Developer Network, enabling customers and other authorized users to integrate various systems and services with Ex Libris solutions. A live API dashboard demonstrates the Ex Libris cloud-based API platform in action, with more than two million daily transactions on average and peaks that reach over four million.
The new Ex Libris Connect Partner Program will provide a framework for creating a formal relationship between Ex Libris and interested partners, enabling all stakeholders involved in an integration—the customers, the partner, and Ex Libris—to realize the greatest benefits from the collaboration. The program will lay the foundation for coordinating development, certification and support of the integration with Ex Libris solutions, defined access by Ex Libris to the partner’s products and information, and alignment of Ex Libris and partner roadmaps. All these elements are essential to the sustainability of the collaboration.
Ex Libris President Bar Veinstein commented, ”We are excited to introduce the Ex Libris Connect Partner Program, which brings our vision of supporting a rich ecosystem of integration partners to life. It has always been our goal to provide our community with maximum connectivity and openness. We look forward to collaborating with our partners to accelerate the development and adoption of open integrations.”
