Ex Libris (USA) Inc. is pleased to announce that Turabo University of the Ana G Mendez University System has selected the Companys award-winning SFX® link resolver to power Puerto Ricos first virtual library, which is being developed by the institution. The finalization of this agreement is a milestone for Ex Libris, as the University becomes the Companys first customer in Puerto Rico and first SFX customer in the Caribbean.
Turabo Universitys virtual library is currently being transformed into a cutting-edge research and learning center. Part of the Ana G. Mendez University System (AGMUS), Universidad del Turabo is a private university located in the municipality of Gurabo, Puerto Rico. Established in 1969 as a secondary campus for the Puerto Rico Junior College, it gained its autonomy in 1972 and received authorization from the Council on Higher Education of Puerto Rico to be renamed as Turabo University in 1982.
