Angers, France
Ex Libris (France) is pleased to announce that the Angers University Library has chosen the ALEPH 500™ Integrated Library System to replace the Universitys existing Dynix system. The Angers University will enhance the standard ALEPH 500 system with some of Ex Libris newest modules such as ARC (ALEPH Reporting Center) and ISO interlibrary loan, which complies with the ISO 10160/10161 protocol and the companion IPIG profile. The Angers University will use the ALEPH X-server APIs to realize the integration of ALEPH 500 with the institutions future portal.
“We are delighted to embark on this new partnership with Ex Libris, said Mr. Nicolas Morin, Head of IT Services for the Angers University Library. We feel ALEPH 500 has proven capabilities, which will allow us to quickly implement new services for our patrons. We also expect to make full use of the new ARC Module to better manage both our collections and our services. Last but not least, we feel that ALEPH 500 will provide us with a solid, first building block upon which we expect to build a new online environment for our patrons in the future.”
We were extremely honored to receive this vote of confidence from the Angers University Library, explained Frederic Lefevre, Managing Director of Ex Libris France. “This institution is indeed well known throughout France for its specific interest in and commitment to new standards and protocols related to open systems. The fact that the Ex Libris solutions meet the requirements of the IT services division for future-proof products is equally as important as meeting the requirements of the library.”
