Auckland adds unified resource management to the Library’s unified discovery platform, powered by Primo
Adelaide, Australia—January 21, 2014. Ex Libris Group®, a world leader in the provision of library automation solutions, is pleased to announce that the University of Auckland has selected the Ex Libris Alma resource management solution. Together with the Ex Libris Primo® discovery solution, Alma will replace a number of the systems currently used at the Library, including the Voyager® integrated library system (ILS).
”The University of Auckland Library is pleased to be implementing Alma as a unified resource management system supporting our Primo discovery layer,” commented University Librarian, Janet Copsey. ”With both Ex Libris solutions we will be able to further consolidate our library enterprise systems and offer users a seamless platform for discovery and interacting with the Library. We are also keen to put into practice the Ex Libris vision for next generation libraries by migrating from our valued Voyager ILS to Alma. This decision enables us to join the community of forward-looking libraries that have already adopted Alma, and to collaborate with them in refining the solution over the long term.”
Holley Dumble, Ex Libris sales director for Australia and New Zealand, remarked: ”We are delighted to see our longtime partners at the University of Auckland giving their vote of confidence to Alma and the Ex Libris strategy for unifying collection management. The Alma community in Australia and New Zealand is growing rapidly and the addition of Auckland will no doubt inspire fellow Alma users as well as other institutions in the region.”
