All of Tulane’s new and current Ex Libris solutions will now be managed in the Ex Libris cloud environment Chicago, IL—June 23, 2011. Ex Libris® Group, a world leader in the provision of library automation solutions, is pleased to announce that Tulane University has selected the Primo® discovery and delivery solution, with its Central Index of scholarly materials, and the bX article recommender service. At the same time, Tulane’s libraries are moving their Voyager® integrated library system, SFX® OpenURL link resolver, and MetaLib® metasearch solution to the Ex Libris cloud environment. Having incurred serious damage from Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Tulane library managers were looking at moving their library solutions to a cloud-based deployment. After evaluating a range of options, Tulane found that the VoyagerPlus package, launched earlier this year, best meets the needs of both library staff and users. This package includes the migration of Voyager to the cloud and the addition of a cloud-based Primo service.
