Ex Libris™ (China) is pleased to announce that Beijing Foreign Studies University has selected the Ex Libris ALEPH® 500 library automation system, the MetaLib® library portal, and the SFX® context-sensitive link server. This follows the selection of MetaLib and SFX by Nanjing Normal University for the establishment of its digital information resource service center.
We are very happy to partner with Ex Libris to construct our multilingual information service platform, said Professor Guo Qiqing, Director of Beijing Foreign Studies University Library. The full Unicode support of the whole product suite, and the strong services and technical support of the local staff of Ex Libris, will surely make us feel fully confident in our decision, Professor Guo added.
After a long investigation period, we could not find a better technology and system than SFX and MetaLib to help us to build up our digital information resource service center, explained Professor Zhang Jianping, Director of Nanjing Normal University Library. SFX the original linking server, MetaLib with all major local databases configured, and the professionalism of the local representatives, made the SFX/MetaLib solution our only choice, added Professor Zhang.
We extend a warm welcome to Beijing Foreign Studies University and Nanjing Normal University and feel proud to have them join our ever-expanding Chinese customer base, enthused Mr. Fucheng Shen, Managing Director, Ex Libris China. We are fully confident that we will make these two projects successful as we have for our many other customers in China.
