Ex Libris Inc., is pleased to announce the recent decision of four Association of Research Libraries (ARL) to upgrade from their existing SFX® systems to the combined MetaLib®/SFX solution. These four sites—Johns Hopkins University, Carnegie-Mellon University, North Carolina State University, and the University of Chicago—have previously run SFX in a stand-alone mode as their institutional link-resolver.
We are seeing a major trend among our SFX sites to now also implement MetaLib, commented Susan M. Pastore, Vice-President of Sales for Ex Libris Inc. The marriage of Ex Libris award-winning linking technology and our leading-edge MetaSearch™ tool is proving an irresistible combination for libraries of all sizes and types. SFX and MetaLib enjoy an overwhelming presence in the high-end ARL market, with 74 SFX installations and 46 MetaLib installations.
