We are thrilled to announce that San Diego Circuit, a dynamic consortium of academic and public libraries, has entered into a development partner agreement with Ex Libris™, part of Clarivate™, to develop a new consortial borrowing experience. For nearly thirty years, the Circuit has enabled all residents of San Diego county to make use of the collections of member libraries. By streamlining the user experience and simplifying staff workflows this collaboration is expected to enhance the benefits for San Diego county residents. San Diego Circuit’s consortium is comprised of:
- California State University San Marcos
- San Diego Public Library
- San Diego County Library
- San Diego State University
- University of California San Diego
- University of San Diego
The agreement has the potential for Circuit members to deliver transformative benefits, such as:
- Enhanced library user experiences with seamless access to shared resources
- Improved operational efficiency through modern resource–sharing workflows
Through the development partnership, Circuit Libraries will provide feedback to Ex Libris™ on the new consortial borrowing experience with the goal of making it easier for patrons to discover and request library resources.
