Leganto, the Ex Libris course materials solution designed to support student success and streamline reading list accessibility, has made its debut in Switzerland. The Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) kick-started the implementation of Leganto earlier this year, and recently ETH-library Zurich has selected the solution as well, with their project set to start in early autumn.

Leganto offers many benefits for academic institutions, enabling them to empower their students, teaching staff and librarians alike. The platform’s seamless integrations and personalized features will support academic success and create a more streamlined learning experience.

By seamlessly integrating with the library and the learning management system, Leganto facilitates:

  • Easy access to essential resources already freely available through the library for students
  • Intuitive reading list-building tools for faculty
  • Streamlined reading list workflows and insights into collection usage for librarians.

The introduction of Leganto within two academic institutions in Switzerland is poised to enhance teaching and learning experiences at both institutions, empowering students, faculty, and librarians alike to better achieve their objectives.

“We know from our experience with over 300 academic institutions that Leganto bridges the gaps between students, faculty and librarians to further student success. It does this by surfacing resources already available through the library directly within the learning management system. We look forward to helping the library boost their collection usage and deepen their connection with teaching and learning. I am confident that this is just the beginning for Leganto in Switzerland.”

Eyal Kirshner, Vice President, Ex Libris Leganto
