This week, over 700 participants are coming together at the Westin Bonaventure hotel in Los Angeles, California for three coordinated events: Knowledge Days hosted by Ex Libris, and Developers Day+ and the ELUNA 2023 annual conference hosted by the Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA). Over the course of five days, the combined events offer nearly 200 sessions led by library professionals and Ex Libris staff.
“Our customer community is critical to everything we do,” said Yariv Kursh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Ex Libris. “We wish we could see all 5000 Ex Libris libraries in one place but we are very grateful for the time we have with the participants willing to travel to these in-person events. We’re making the most of our time together.”
The week started with instruction tailored to customers, through Knowledge Days, helping them fine-tune workflows and explore ways to maximize their use of Ex Libris services. Concurrently, Developers Day+ brings together librarians and developers to create new and innovative services and solutions through hands-on learning and collaboration. All participants will come together for a combined reception on Tuesday night before the ELUNA 2023 Annual Meeting begins Wednesday morning.
The theme for the 2023 ELUNA annual meeting is “ELUNA FORWARD.” Yariv Kursh will present on the future of libraries Wednesday morning, and other Ex Libris team members will present throughout the conference with product updates and additional topics such as Linked Data, analytics, user experience, and collaboration. Library professionals will present on customizations, effective use of services, and share experiences as well as exchange ideas and best practices.
