Alma will enable Roma Tre to offer unified and enhanced services as well as create opportunities for further collaboration in the region.
We are pleased to announce that Roma Tre University has selected Ex Libris Alma to provide the Library with unified resource management. Alma will enable the Library to streamline their workflows – thus saving time and resources – as well as make more user-focused collection development and strategic decisions.
Piera Storari, Coordinator of the University Library System, spoke to us about the reasons for their choice: “Our decision to adopt Alma reflects our desire for innovation and furthers the Library’s strategy of investing in new technologies to facilitate and optimise workflows and communication. The time and resources we will save by streamlining our workflows and utilising Alma’s analytics module will enable us to improve the service we offer our patrons and increase the resources we can make available for research and teaching. Save the time of the librarian, save the time of the user.”
“We have been actively collaborating with Tor Vergata University of Rome since 2011, integrating the network of services we offer to provide users of the Universities with the best quality service,” Luciano Scacchi, Director of the University Library System at the University, told us. “Alma’s open infrastructure will enable us to consolidate and develop this cooperation, maximising our investment and increasing efficiency by allowing us to share data and processes. We are very much looking forward to joining the Italian Early Adopter programme and expect that this experience will not only be very positive for the growth of our library system, but will also inspire other institutions.”
The decision of Roma Tre to join the Alma Early Adopter programme represents an important step for the Alma community in Italy and we are delighted to have them on board.
