Leganto will help the College accomplish its mission of providing a world-class teaching and learning experience
Jerusalem, Israel—August 4, 2016. Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the largest private college in Israel, the College of Management—Academic Studies, has chosen the Leganto course reading list solution to support teaching and learning at the institution.
A cloud-based solution, Leganto integrates tightly with the Ex Libris Alma® library management service, the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution, and institutional course management systems. Leganto promotes and facilitates collaboration between faculty members, librarians, and students for the creation, management, use, and evaluation of course reading lists.
The College selected Leganto for its pioneering technology, engaging user interface, and seamless integration with the school’s library systems and Moodle® course management system. With Leganto, students will have easy access to a reading list and its materials—print, electronic, and digital—from a course page in their course management system. The streamlining of library workflows and support for librarians in the handling of copyright clearance for course materials were also major factors in the College’s selection of Leganto.
”The College of Management—Academic Studies has always striven for innovative teaching methods and excellence in serving its students and instructors,” explained Lia Fein-Disatnik, library director at the College. ”Student success is our top priority. With the Leganto solution, we will be able to provide a better student experience, enhance learning achievement, and offer optimal support of teaching practices.
”Leganto will enable our library to collaborate with our faculty members and see that our collections address the needs of all stakeholders in a timely manner. Furthermore, the system’s analytics will help the library assess its efforts and demonstrate its value to teaching and learning at the College.”
Matti Shem Tov, Ex Libris president, remarked: ”I am delighted to welcome the College of Management to the growing Leganto community, which now has members in eight countries. We will be working with the College’s forward-thinking library team on supporting regional practices and settings. Together with Alma and Primo, Leganto will help the College library expand its reach, optimize its collections, and provide an efficient and cost-effective service to students and faculty members.”
