”We are delighted to be launching this collaboration program supported by the strategic vision of these academic institutions,” said Liliana Morotti, General Manager of Ex Libris Italy. ”Italy is leading the way for many other countries in Europe and around the world that have a growing interest in Alma’s unified approach to the management of library services. In this endeavor Italian universities are joining their counterparts in technically advanced countries such as United States, England, Germany, Norway and Australia. We are very excited to begin collaborating with the Universities of Rome Tor Vergata, Udine, and Camerino, together with the Scuola Normale Superiore, to define the capabilities that Alma needs to meet the specific needs of Italian libraries. These institutions—the first to use Alma with UNIMARC—join a rapidly growing Alma community, which now numbers over 330 institutions.”
