Ex Libris is pleased to announce the addition to its North American DigiTool customer base of two important academic and research sites.
The University of New Hampshire System (usnh.unh.edu) has contracted with Ex Libris for a consortial implementation of DigiTool to cover the University of New Hampshire, Keene State College, and Plymouth State University. The UNH System also purchased MetaLib/SFX on behalf of the consortium, building on the previous implementation of SFX at the University of New Hampshire . The UNH System plans to implement DigiTool first, followed by MetaLib/SFX.
The Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (www.cshl.edu), in Cold Spring Harbor, NY, purchased DigiTool on behalf of its Library and Archives. CSHL is a private, non-profit research and education institution. Its 330 scientists conduct research programs focusing on cancer, neurobiology, plant genetics, genomics and bioinformatics. It is one of only eight National Cancer Institute-designated basic research centers in the United States. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is best known in the lay world as the home of the James D. Watson School of Biological Sciences, named for the Laboratory Chancellor and Nobel Laureate who was the co-discoverer of the DNA double-helix.
These institutions add to the number of customers coming to DigiTool from integrated library systems other than ALEPH 500™, which find DigiTool an advanced flexible enterprise solution to support the management of digital collections.
