College library upgrades student experience with Ex Libris solutions
Jerusalem, Israel—April 19, 2007. The College of Management, Academic Studies Division, has chosen both the SFX® link resolver and the MetaLib® metasearch solution to upgrade user services in the college libraries and to optimize use of the colleges electronic resources. The library’s choice of SFX and MetaLib was consistent with its goal to provide students with the means to maximize their academic achievements in a technologically advanced environment.
Yossi Tissona, College of Management systems librarian, notes, After our good experience with the ALEPH 500® library system, it was only natural for us to continue our close cooperation by choosing two additional Ex Libris products: the SFX link server and the MetaLib metasearch gateway. These advanced new services will help our patrons find their way within the complex world of electronic and print resources available in our libraries. We are confident that SFX and MetaLib will provide a better solution for meeting our patrons academic information needs.
Ori Ainy, Ex Libris sales manager, comments, The College of Management is one of the leading academic colleges in Israel. By choosing SFX and MetaLib for its librarys e-collections, the College of Management joins two prominent Israeli academic institutions–Haifa University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem–in the forefront of technology.
