With the new platform, Murdoch University will deliver a digital experience across the entire student life cycle
Adelaide, Australia—July 30, 2019. Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that Murdoch University has joined an increasing number of institutions in Australia that have opted for the Ex Libris campusM™ mobile solution.
An analysis of Murdoch University’s legacy campus student portal identified an opportunity to enhance and increase student engagement by improving its digital student services as well as providing a dedicated mobile app.
After an extensive market evaluation, Murdoch selected the Ex Libris campusM platform to help the University transform its digital experience for students. Encouraging student involvement in both social and academic activities, the new myMurdoch student portal and mobile app provides easy access to learning and wellbeing support as well as opportunities for students to connect and collaborate with peers.
The campusM student portal and mobile app platform will enable us to provide a consistent and smooth student experience across various channels and cater to the needs of students wherever they are.
Michael Grant, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Director of IT Services for Murdoch University, added, “The campusM student portal and mobile app platform will enable us to provide a consistent and smooth student experience across various channels and cater to the needs of students wherever they are. Such a unified cross-channel platform will fit nicely with our digital strategy and will offer us many benefits, such as one ‘source of truth’ for student communications throughout the University.”
Julie Whitlock, Associate Director, Digital Innovations at Murdoch University, commented, “Ex Libris has shown a strong commitment to our vision for a student portal that students want to use. “Additionally, Ex Libris is a vendor with a long history and large customer base, providing support in Australia in our time zones. The company understood the unique needs of higher education and were eager to enhance and improve the product.
