Experienced library technology executive to head Australasian operations
Adelaide, Australia—November 27, 2006. The Ex Libris Group is pleased to announce that Mr. Petros Demetriou has been appointed as managing director of Ex Libris (Australia) Pty Ltd, effective immediately. Mr. Demetriou brings to Ex Libris over 20 years of experience in technology companies, 16 years of which he spent in the library technology sector, working with libraries on four continents; for the last six years, he has served the library community in Australasia. Mr. Demetriou will provide strategic and tactical leadership for all Australasian operations and will be based in the Ex Libris office in Adelaide, South Australia.
Prior to joining Ex Libris, Mr. Demetriou held a number of senior management positions in which he successfully delivered growth and significant operational improvements. Most recently, Mr. Demetriou served as vice president of Asia-Pacific for Dynix Inc. and before then, as director of sales for Asia-Pacific for Innovative Interfaces Inc.
