The Ex Libris Group is pleased to announce that Marc Daubach, international VP sales has been appointed corporate vice president and general manager for Europe, reporting to Matti Shem Tov, president and CEO of Ex Libris Ltd. Mr. Daubach will manage Ex Libris operations in Europe, and will be based in Hamburg, Germany.
During his eleven years tenure at Ex Libris, Mr. Daubach has fulfilled the roles of sales manager at Ex Libris (Luxembourg), European sales manager, managing director, Ex Libris (UK), and most recently international VP sales. He holds a masters degree in computer science from Imperial College in London.
Oded Scharfstein has been appointed to the position of VP Asia-Pacific and will also report directly to Mr. Shem Tov. In this capacity, Mr. Scharfstein who holds a law degree and MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem will manage the Companys operations in Asia and Australia. During his three years as DigiTool® Product Manager at Ex Libris, Mr. Scharfstein was instrumental in launching DigiTool version 3, which has received widespread praise.
These strategic appointments will strengthen our position in these regions; it will ensure that company strategy is effectively deployed, and that we can better respond to local needs. We see significant growth, particularly in Asia where a number of new deals have recently been signed in China and Korea. commented Matti Shem Tov in announcing these changes.
Mr. Daubach and Mr. Scharfstein will take up their new positions with immediate effect.
