Graz, Austria
Ex Libris™ (Germany) is pleased to announce that the newly founded Medical University of Graz has chosen ALEPH® 500 as its integrated library management system (ILS). Following an Austrian university legislative decision made in 2002, the Karl-Franzen University medical faculty in Graz has become an independent, autonomous university and has chosen to adopt its own ILS. The success that ALEPH 500 has enjoyed in other University of Graz faculties made this system the obvious choice.
According to Jurgen Kussow, Ex Libris Senior Sales Consultant, The Medical University of Graz is satisfied that ALEPH 500 will enable the library to rapidly conform to its very specific requirements. The fact that other libraries in the Graz system have successfully worked with the ALEPH 500 ILS had great influence on this selection.
ALEPH 500 implementation will take place during the summer academic break. Switch to production is scheduled for September 2006, after data transfer from the existing catalog has been completed and the appropriate staff has been trained.
