The Leganto software will improve the student experience and facilitate remote teaching and learning
Bologna, Italy—July 14, 2020, Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the Università degli Studi di Bergamo (University of Bergamo) has selected the Ex Libris Leganto® course reading list solution.
The Ex Libris Leganto software is a cloud-based, end-to-end solution that facilitates active collaboration among an institution’s academic staff, students, and librarians in the creation, management, use, and evaluation of course reading lists.
Through the Leganto interface, students can access their course materials and engage with lecturers and peers wherever they are located. Thanks to the seamless integration of the Leganto software with the University of Bergamo’s library management and course management systems, the library will now be more involved in teaching and learning processes and will serve as an effective partner in helping the university achieve its academic goals.
With Leganto, we can ensure that our collections meet our students’ needs and better support student success.
Library Director Ennio Ferrante said, “The current process through which students are informed of the resources that are mandatory for their coursework, as well as the process by which libraries acquire the information necessary to update their collections of teaching materials, are time-consuming and inefficient. With Leganto, we can ensure that our collections meet our students’ needs and better support student success.”
Ofer Mosseri, corporate vice president and general manager of Ex Libris EMEA, commented, ”We congratulate the University of Bergamo on selecting the Leganto solution. The university’s new reading list software will make teaching materials available to students on time and will foster an environment in which students and teachers collaborate more efficiently.”
