A proven track record in the support of sophisticated consortia and fully-multilingual products prompted the selection of Primo
Chicago, IL – April 14, 2008. Ex Libris Group is pleased to announce that the Universite du Quebec (UQ) has selected the Primo® discovery and delivery solution to serve as the main portal for the libraries of eight of the university’s constituents. Major factors in the university’s choice of Primo were its flexible consortial functionality, one-stop search solution, and out-of-the-box multilingual support for all aspects of the system.
”Always mindful of innovations that correspond with the strengths and needs of our institution, we were impressed with the manner in which Primo addresses user expectations for quick, easy, and effective searching and retrieval. UQ is planning to go live with the MetaLib® gateway and metasearch system and to implement the company’s Primo discovery and delivery solution as the libraries’ main portal.”

Primo will be deployed at Universite du Quebeca Trois-Rivieres, Universite du Quebeca Chicoutimi, Universite du Quebeca Rimouski, Universite du Quebec en Outaouais, Universite du Quebec en Abitibi-Temiscamingue, Institut national de la recherche scientifique, Ecole nationale d’administration publique, and Ecole de technologie superieure; and hosted at the Universite du Quebeca Trois-Rivieres site.
