The Alma collaboration capabilities and the availability of APIs were among the key factors driving the university’s decision
Chicago, Illinois—April 10, 2018. Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that the University of California (UC) Hastings College of the Law has chosen the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform and Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery solution to replace the Innovative Sierra integrated library system and the Innovative Encore discovery layer.
We found Alma and Primo to be the best fit as an open platform that would include APIs and integration with third-party systems at little or no cost. 
In adopting the Alma and Primo services, UC Hastings joins other institutions across California. As an Ex Libris library, UC Hastings will enjoy enhanced resource-sharing capabilities, tools for collaborative collection development, and the exchange of expertise and best practices with libraries at other UC schools and the California State University system.
