In this customer spotlight, Ashley Brewer, Web Systems Librarian at Virginia Commonwealth University, discusses how VCU Libraries has implemented Primo library discovery service to engage researchers and help them find exactly what they are looking for.

Virginia Commonwealth University Libraries has taken the path of many academic libraries by placing a single-search box in a primary position on their website’s homepage. Primo is also accessible and visible through additional paths across the VCU Libraries’ website, such as on the summary journals page where there is an embedded Primo search box.

Beyond highlighting how VCU has implemented their discovery service and how the single-search box appeals to new researchers, Brewer explains that the Libraries have taken discovery to the next level with an accelerated transition to the new Primo, which makes Primo’s features more easily discoverable.
