        FAQ

Yes. Rosetta is completely integrated with your Alma system. But not only. It also integrates on the user side with Primo’s advanced discovery tool for libraries.

You will be able to showcase your digital materials via the Primo discovery tool, and you will have access to usage analytics which give you data on how much an item or collection is used and by what type of user profile. Accessing these analytics is a game changer for special collection and repository specialists looking to generate actionable insights.

Rosetta is compliant with OAIS and PREMIS, the strictest preservation standards. It runs continuous metadata authenticity checks and format risk analysis. Rosetta will guide you into fixing the formats before they become obsolete. That way, you can rest assured that your materials remain accessible hundreds of years from now.

No. You have 100% control over who can access, view, and download your different materials. For instance, you can choose to keep items in your dark archives. In this case, they will be accessible only to authorized staff. If you decide to integrate them into Primo, you will be able to set the items as non-downloadable, viewable only, to specific user profiles.

Of course. Rosetta is built to act as a guide in safely getting started with digital preservation, even if you are not yet familiar with all the preservation best practices. You can start preserving your assets at your own pace and gain experience with time, possibly through the existing expert users.

Rosetta is joining the highly-secured Ex Libris platform with files stored on the Amazon S3 servers – where all other Ex Libris applications are hosted.

Rosetta Plus is planned to launch at the end of 2024. Until then, our Rosetta experts are here to answer any questions and help build a program that works best for you. Let’s talk.
