September 12, 2017 | 2 min read |

In only 5 years, we have reached 1,000 institutions using Alma. We are proud that Alma is the fastest growing library management system in the world, but even prouder of our active and involved Alma community.

The contribution of the Alma community to Alma’s success is staggering: the Alma Product Working Group, the events and workshops around the world, the great ideas that Alma users suggest on a daily basis, and the open communication between the Alma community and the Ex Libris team are the key drivers of Alma’s success.

To celebrate, members of the Alma community have created some amazing videos (and a cool poster) about what Alma means to them. Before you see them, thank you from the entire Ex Libris team for choosing Alma.

And now on to the Alma community, and what they have been doing to commemorate this important milestone with us.

First, check out this poster from the team at Nevada State College. We think it speaks for itself.

Now watch the librarians of University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point celebrate Alma with a fun take on YMCA starring Stevie Pointer, the UWSP mascot.

The library team at the Colorado School of Mines explains why they love Alma as only the Mines team can.

Jeanette Frey of the Renouvaud Network at BCU Lausanne congratulates Ex Libris on reaching 1,000 Alma institutions.

The librarians of El Colegio de México explain what Alma has done for them.

Fiona Greig of the University of Surrey, discusses her three favorite things about Alma.

Finally, we would like to thank you again for helping us reach 1,000 institutions using Alma. We are so proud of our amazing Alma community — here’s to the next 1,000 members!
